Do you like your job but yearn for more? Your experience and bachelor’s degree may have gotten you this far, but if you want to continue to advance, you’ll have to do more. The key to advancing is to stand out from the crowd. That starts by making yourself invaluable. Be productive, helpful and flexible. Be a problem solver and a leader. Work hard to bring in as much business as you can, and if your job involves the company finances, look for ways to trim operating costs and save money. Be a problem solver and work hard. Always be open to networking opportunities. They’re very important and sometimes the only way to open certain doors and get noticed. When you’re networking, be polite and professional.
